Step 1. Before you start, your hair must be clean and free of product. Hop in the shower and wash your hair thoroughly with a good shampoo and conditioner.
Step 2. Once you're done, you may either blowdry, toweldry, or airdry your hair. After your hair is fully dry, it's time to start styling. Rub in a leave in conditioner (Garnier Fructis Sleek And Shine Leave in Conditioner works great), but make sure to avoid your scalp when you apply it as that will make your hair greasy faster.
Step 3. Straighten your hair if you need to (this should reduce frizz and unwanted curls), otherwise skip this step. Using curling iron that has a 1 1/2 to 2 inch barrel, clamp a small section of hair and wrap that section around the iron, and hold for about 5-10 seconds depending on the temperature. Make the waves loose, not tight, by lowering the temperature and keeping the iron in not as long. Do not pull too hard because that can break your hair. Remember that the tighter you clamp and pull down the tighter the curl will be. Repeat. This can be done with a curling iron as well.
Step 4. Once you have done your whole head, spray in some hairspray to lock the look.
Step 5. Using a rattail comb (if you have one), part your hairline from the beginning of your eyebrow, and part it all the way back. You may need hairspray to lock in the part, unless your hair is already used to it. Then, adjust your side bangs to your liking.
